Rome is right around the corner and we’re excited to share the skatepark design for the Street World Championships 2021 being held May 30 until June 6 at the Stadio Pietrangeli, in the Foro Italico in Rome.

Along with being the highest points earning opportunity in the Olympic Skateboarding qualification system, all podium spots in Rome will earn direct access to the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo. In addition, the prize purse for Rome will be $200,000 USD split evenly across both genders. Everything will be on the line as skateboarders will get the chance to climb the ranking that will determine who’s going to Tokyo.

The 1000 sqm park was designed by California Skateparks and is definitely going to match the level of the venue and importance of the event. We hope everyone loves the design as much as we do and can’t wait to see everyone skateboarding it soon.

COMPETITION FORMAT

The qualifier round of competition comprises the following athletes:

• Country Quota Athletes, 5 per gender and discipline, per each NGB
• Athletes ranked 6th to 30th in the OWSR
• Wild Card Athletes

The semi-final round of competition comprises a total of 32 athletes.

• Pre-Seeded Athletes: Ranked 1st to 5th in the OWSR
• Top 27 ranked athletes advancing from the qualifier round (minimum)
• The best 8 athletes of the semi-final will advance to the final
