Finals Tomorrow!

Written by Jeff Landi

Here we are: after 2 days of competitions, 163 skaters, 42 countries on the course and we finally have the list of the 8 women and the 8 men going to compete for the direct spots to Tokyo.

The 6 winners of the two Roman finals will get direct access to Tokyo for skateboarding's Olympic debut - where street skateboarding will open Tokyo's games at the Ariake Urban Sports Park. The ranking here at the world champs will be the final deciding factor in determing the other Olympians skaters for Tokyo.

Sabatino Aracu "COVID-19 forced the entire sport movement to change its calendar and to cancel or reschedule many important events. But we have been able to close the Olympic qualification with a huge event in Rome. We are so proud that with the Street Skateboarding World Championships we brought our sport  here in the hearth of the Eternal city, in a perfect match between culture and sport."
