World Skate are delighted to announce the creation of an OQS Travel Grant which will cover the travel costs of all skateboarders who make it into the Olympic Qualifier Series post- WST Dubai. As you will probably recall from previous releases, 16-19 May in Shanghai and 20-23 June in Budapest will see the skateboarders who go forward from our World Skateboarding Tour join the Olympic Qualifier Series, a pair of hybrid events which will also act as conduits to the Paris Olympic Games for the activities of Freestyle BMX, Breaking and Sport Climbing all at the same custom-built venue in each city!

World Skate will act as the conduit through which the the Travel Grant which is offered by the Local Organising Committee will be paid to all relevant federations who have skateboarders taking part.

The lump sum will be transferred post-event to cover the travel costs of all competing skateboarders involved (staff are not included in the Travel Grant). Federations will be contacted via usual channels about the details of this IOC-backed initiative!
