The World Skateboarding Tour forms the sole pathway to skateboarding at the Olympic Games.
The travelling Open contest series- which incorporates both Pro Tour and World Championship events in both Street and Park- is organised and administered by World Skate, as the official IOC- recognised governing body of skateboarding.
The WST allows skateboarders from anywhere in the world to enter and advance on merit through the World Skate Rankings, each hoping to be crowned as annual World Champion- or even an Olympic medallist.
The World Skateboard Tour competition calendar for 2025 will be announced through a series of consecutive updates.
In this initial announcement, we aim to provide a broad overview of the upcoming competition schedule, while allowing the Local Organising Committees some more time and flexibility to choose dates within those windows.
The 2025 World Skateboarding Tour will officially kick off in June 2025 with our classic WST Street and Park events in Rome, Italy.
Looking ahead to late Q3, we are thrilled to bring the World Skateboarding Tour to North America with both WST Street and Park events scheduled for September in Washington, D.C. (USA)!
We are also delighted to be returning to Japan for a WST Street stop, scheduled for late November- so that would look like:
WST Italy Park & Street: First 2 Weeks June 2025
WST USA Park & Street: September 2025
WST Japan Street: Late November 2025
While the above events are confirmed and just pending the announcement of precise dates, our World Skate staff are tirelessly finalising new events for both Street and Park elsewhere around the globe.
Although additional 2025 events and new 2026 destinations will be added in subsequent calendar releases, we can confirm that the Rome events of June 2025 will be the first WST stop of this coming 2025 season.
We will share those further updates as those details are confirmed and finalised.
