All of us here at World Skate would like to take the opportunity of International Women's Day to raise up and celebrate all the women in our community and beyond who make everything so much better for us all.
We thought we'd check in with three of the fabulous women who are shaping the present and future of skateboarding to ask them about sisterhood, how sport lifts them up, and what they hope for the future.
World Skate Technical Commission Chair Leticia Bufoni
What’s the best thing about being a woman in skateboarding?
Getting to show that women can skate just as hard as anyone. It’s great to see more girls getting into skateboarding and pushing the limits.
What does sisterhood in sport mean to you?
It’s about getting out there and having fun, supporting each other, and progressing together.
What do you wish for the younger women coming along behind you in skateboarding?
