To Spain we go next, where the RFEP national federation hosted the 2026 National Championships in both Street and Vert Skateboarding as part of the Graviteo Urban Sports Festival, which took place at the prestigious Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya racetrack in the north of the city during mid-July.

With the World Skate Games in Paraguay just a few short months from now, both Street and Vert Championships took place under the watchful eye of Spanish National Coach Alain Goikoetxea who has crafted Spain into European leaders in Park- and is no doubt aiming to do likewise in these other two disciplines, also.

As with the UK Park Championships at the same time, Spain’s latest National Championships went down under the meteorological backdrop of a continental heatwave, and the skating itself turned everything up a degree or two extra on top!

All our congratulations to not just the winners but everyone who entered and showed out. That takes courage in itself.

Big ups to Kini Gonzalez and all the crew involved there, as well as to photographers Iván Jimenez and Iván Malvido for their awesome pics from a scorching weekend!
